Rev. Tino Ballesteros, Supply Preacher
Tino is a native of Los Angeles, California. Tino pulled up roots to come east to the South and never left. His undergraduate studies were in South Carolina and his seminary education was at Columbia Seminary, Decatur, Georgia. He has stayed close to his new, adopted home.
Tino has served three churches as pastor, two in Alabama and one in Georgia. The Georgia congregation was the Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church in Savannah where he retired after a twenty year service.
In retirement, Tino has served numerous congregations as interim and supply pastor. He stayed linked with his adopted Georgia home by serving several congregations here and one in South Carolina. Tina has also served the larger denomination with service at the Synod and General Assembly level and was a candidate for the moderator of the PC(USA) General Assembly. Tino has served on Commissions and Committees for the national PC(USA). He is currently assisting many young pastors prepare well for their retirement as a PC(USA) Board of Pensions consultant.
Tino lives with his wife, Esther, at Presbyterian Village in Austell. Tino and Esther have four children and nine grandchildren, most residing in the South. His son, Tino, Jr. is a pastor in California.
Tino is energetic and enjoys people. He is solidly committed to Presbyterian ways and loves the Lord's church. Tino loves the Word and finds its proclamation a true life calling. |
