Kids' Summer Mission Camp 2011

The Theme Song: Mark 9:35 "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last and the servant of all."

Kids’ Summer Mission Camp in July was attended by 36 elementary-aged children. With the help of 5 adult and 5 youth leaders, we experienced what it’s like to be greatest in God’s eyes instead of in the world’s eyes and to be servants to all, as Jesus taught in Mark 9:35. We learned about the amazing Moringa tree that is improving the health of people in the Congo and in Haiti. Thanks to the generosity of the May Sunday School offering, we were able to serve children in our community by preparing 350 lunches for the MUST Summer Lunch Program. We also were able to serve the residents of Signature Healthcare by making 50 fleece scarves as gifts for them. While at Signature, we sang for, played games with, served a snack to and visited with some of the residents.
