Sunday School

During the 9:45 a.m. Sunday School hour, Christian Education classes are offered for toddlers through adults. Classes are team-taught by volunteers from the congregation. In the Preschool division, children must be of the appropriate age by September 1.

Nursery

The church nursery, located in rooms 100-103, is open on Sunday mornings from 8:15 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Children from six weeks through four years old are lovingly cared for by carefully chosen staff while their parents are in the 8:30 a.m. or 11:15 a.m. worship services. During the 9:45 a.m. hour, infants through 18-month-olds are cared for in the nursery while 2-year-olds and older may attend a Sunday School class.

Special Needs

Children with special needs are welcomed, invited and encouraged to participate as fully as possible in the life of the church. We strive to include children with special needs in all classes and activities with the assistance of volunteers from the congregation. Parents are encouraged to how we can work together to make their child’s worshiping and learning experiences meaningful.

Sunday Morning Classes:

Preschool

Most of our Preschool classes are divided by age to achieve smaller classes and more individualized care and instruction.

Elementary
Kindergarten and first graders study Bible stories, sing together and have hands-on learning experiences in self-contained classes. Second through fifth grades have the same learning experiences in a large group/small group format known as Track 25.

Middle School
Sixth through eighth grade classes begin to move beyond mere study of Bible stories to exploration of Christian beliefs. The eighth grade Sunday School class is a Confirmation class. In this class students are taught basic church doctrines, are encouraged to make public professions of faith and are welcomed into the church’s membership.

High School
Senior High youth (9th–12th) meet each Sunday at the youth facility, the WareHouse, on the North Marietta Parkway. There are a variety of activities — special speakers, discussions, small groups and food. WareHouse AM is coordinated by Scott Suhr and numerous other adults.

Wednesday Evening Classes:

KA-BAM—Room 030
For kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. We meet on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in room 030. KA-BAM!!! stands for Kid Adventures through Bible and Missions. Through Bible study we learn how God wants us to live and through mission activities we put that into practice. New teen or adult leaders are always welcome! Contact : (770) 427-0293.
