 PrimeTimers
PrimeTimers is a group of FPC Senior Adults (ages 55+) who gather for fellowship, learning and special events. The group was begun over 20 years ago and continues today!
This group meets on the third Monday of each month (August through May) for lunch at a cost of $3.00. Special programs are featured such as speakers, musical groups and information that pertains to the Seniors. Recently, the group met to discuss numerous age-related topics such as insurance benefits. They also hosted an FPC Antiques Road show bringing in items of unique interest, which were assessed by antiques dealers from around the Marietta Square! They also host a number of educational opportunities wherein historians of the area share and discuss our city’s history.
In addition, PrimeTimers serves the community through such projects as Thanksgiving baskets preparation and food collection for MUST Ministries.
There is a shared sense of community among these members as twice during the year they meet with Macland Presbyterian Church Seniors to share a lunch and Christmas meal.
