ACMNP
“For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Romans 1:20
A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP) is a unique year round ministry experience in 35 National Parks from Alaska to the Virgin Islands and 19 states in between!
The purpose of ACMNP is:
- to prepare lay people for Christian leadership;
- to bring Christ's message to people visiting the park;
- to reach out to both government personnel, their families, and thousands of seasonal and professional resort workers, who live and work in park areas.
Each member of ACMNP secures employment with either a concessions company or the National Park Service. Participants work as desk clerks, housekeepers, bellhops, store clerks, tour guides, wait staff, etc. As a regular employee, each staff member receives a competitive wage with room and board usually provided by the employer.
Each member also agrees to a ministry commitment. This involves leadership participation in Sunday worship services which are generally held in an outdoor setting. Staff members may also be given an opportunity to meet park visitors; invite them to worship; preach; and lead fellow employees in Bible studies, Christian education or fellowship activities.
If you
- love the diversity of people from all walks of life;
- work with a positive attitude no matter what the job;

- being outdoors in nature
then you will experience the blessings of a lifetime!
