Mission Prep Team
“Righteousness and
justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness
go before you." Psalm 89:14:
The Men’s Mexico Mission goes before the youth of
our church in love and faithfulness to the Lord.
In support of our High School Mexico Mission trip, the Men's Mexico Prep Team travels to Mexico before the youth of our church. Their objective is to lay the foundations for each house that the youth will later go to finish.
In April of 2006, the men on this journey completed
the foundations for seven homes to be built. Not only do they
sweat and work hard, but they participate in fellowship, spending
time with others in daily devotion at the site and in showing
their Christian love to those for whom the houses are built.
The group makes one trip per year (usually in late April
or early May). Generally, two organizing and planning meetings
are held prior to the trip.
The trip is designed as a mini-mission for any adult male!
Hotel and food expenses are covered within the Mexico Mission
budget; however, if you choose to fly airfare is each individual’s
responsibility. All men of the church interested in physical
construction type labor in the hot Mexico sun for over three to four
days are welcome and needed. All skill levels are needed.
If you are handy with a hammer and shovel—join us and
we can show you the rest!
