School hours are 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The preschool offers an extended "Lunch Bunch" session on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 1:00 p.m. for children in our 3-year and 4-year classes for a nominal additional fee. An additional option for extended care is FPC's MMO program, which operates Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. There is an hourly charge for children ages six-weeks through six-years. Reservations are required.
Music, Movement
Our Movement program runs for 12 weeks during the winter. Once per week, our Movement teachers introduce a variety of sports skills including ball handling, coordination, loco-motor skills, and beginning gymnastics. In addition, the program fosters listening skills as the children learn with each subsequent session to follow increasingly complicated levels of direction.
Our Music program runs all year long. This program enables children to learn developmentally appropriate musical concepts in a fun way! Instruments, such as hand bells and drums, are used. Musical rhythms naturally lead to movement, which is innate to a preschooler, and an integral part of a preschool music program. Singing, dancing, body awareness, pretending, role-playing, and listening and following the director’s lead is all included.
